Building Ethical and Equitable Practice

A practical, evidence‑informed development programme grounded in the Route Map for Greater Diversity, expanded through the DRose Ethics & Equity Framework

This programme builds on the Route Map for Greater Ethnic Diversity, expanded through the DRose Ethics & Equity Strategic Framework to reflect a broader, intersectional understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion.

Meet Sabrina Shadie

DRose Founder, EDI Executive & Lead Trainer

Sabrina Shadie is the Founder of DRose Development Consultancy and DRose Academy. Acting as Lead Trainer and Advisor for this programme. She brings over two decades of experience supporting individuals, leaders and organisations to navigate complex organisational, professional and social challenges, with a particular focus on ethics, equity, inclusion, governance and systems change.

This programme draws directly on Sabrina’s expertise in translating Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) from concept into practical, accountable and sustainable organisational practice. Her work is grounded in the DRose Ethics & Equity Strategic Framework, which supports organisations to strengthen ethical decision‑making, equitable access to opportunity, representative leadership and measurable impact across systems and culture.

Sabrina’s approach is informed by her intersectional lived experience, including her experience as a parent and carer and her understanding of how identity, structural inequality, disability, health and socio‑economic context shape access, opportunity and outcomes. This perspective enables her to bring a nuanced, trauma‑informed and anti‑oppressive lens to both organisational development and frontline practice, supporting teams to engage confidently with complexity while avoiding deficit‑based or performative approaches.

Her professional background spans inclusive education, leadership development, professional supervision and organisational change, with a strong emphasis on supporting organisations to move beyond awareness into embedded, systems‑level change. She combines evidence‑informed practice with structured reflection, enabling participants to critically examine how policies, practices and culture influence outcomes for different groups.

Her facilitation and advisory approach centres on:

~ Creating psychologically safe, reflective learning environments

~ Supporting honest and constructive dialogue around inequality and lived experience

~ Strengthening accountability for equitable outcomes

~ Enabling clear, practical actions that can be implemented in real‑world contexts
